Comments: Hello Droolers! I used to be an active member of the Drool many years ago when I was slave to Beau and Pwincess Clementine (both ATB). After my little Clemmie passed over to join Beau, my heart wasn't into Drooling on a daily basis. My husband and I adopted a wonderful boy basset, Desmond soon after and life was good until Doug (husband) nearly died in 2003. He survived thanks in great part to wonderful doctors and understanding security people who let me sneak Desi in to see him in the ICU. Our family was completed in 2004 when Miss Lucy came bounding into our lives. She had been a stray and brought joy, cuddles and silliness to our family. Sadly, she went to see Beau and Clemmie this past September and we all miss her tons. Sorry to have gone on so long, but I wanted to check in and send slurps to any friends who remember the crazy Campbells from NH. We so enjoyed Boardwaddling with you all (Lake Clementine notwithstanding).

Comments: In the last 2-3 yrs we have adopted three amazing bassets into our family. (Cheyenne, Chief, and Cali) Brailee, our daughter bonded instantly w/Cheyenne; so, we gave her to our daughter and son-in-law as their wedding present. Our whole family's in love w/our bassets! They take up our whole bed(sharing w/my little Peek-a-Chu, our Maine Coon kitty)and of course..my husband and me! We will surely have a pair(or more)bassets as family forever!

Comments: We have two Bassets, a red and white 4 year old, Baxter and a tri-color 9 years old, Barney. They are the best dogs!!!! We laught all the time. You could have the worst day in the world and when they greet us at the door you forget everything! They are so loving. Hounds are not like other dogs and if you never had one you might be in for some small challenges II can't imagine my life without our boys.

Comments: My basset, Toivo, has just recovered from surgery and a setback. He had a hematoma that needed to be removed from his ear. Two weeks later, he came down with a severe case of pancreatitis. He pulled through and is now on a special low fat diet. Toivo has never been fat, but we did feed him occasional table scraps. Now he is ravenous all the time! He is getting into trouble with stealing. His vet said he must be kept away from rich foods and extra servings. He looks skinny and acts famished. What to do?!?!

Comments: I got Matt dillon when he was 8 weeks old. It was like having a baby only worse. Chewed everything in sight and was mean at times. Then he turned 2 and was like a different dog. He is 10 1/2 and the love of my life. I would give my life for him and him for me. Smart, funny and sometimes crazy he is my best friend!!
